We the staff of CONSA are committed to impart quality education to prepare the nurse midwives to assume the responsibilities as professional at basic level in providing promotive, preventive, curative & rehabilitative services to individual, family and community and society at a large. We are also committed to ensure continual improvement at all levels for achieving utmost satisfaction of students, parents and society. This is done through total involvement of students, staff and management.


Nursing is a healthcare profession that entails the provision of care to meet the physical, psychological and sociological needs of patients.
Our Students who have performed well throughout the programme and achieved a minimum cumulative average point are eligible to apply to proceed to Bachelor of nursing sciences (BNSC) (Nursing)(Honours).
Our aim is to prepare nurses to be safe and competent practitioners. Through the acquisition of knowledge and skills. Registered nurses develop critical, analytical, and reflective skills to deliver quality care that will improve patient outcomes. They will be prepared to work with other healthcare professionals in various healthcare settings. Therefore, this programme provides a broad foundation in nursing, humanities, biological and social sciences, which are essential for preparing safe and professional nurses. In addition, the programme is designed to provide a foundation for graduate education in nursing.
Upon completion of the programme, graduates can apply to register with the Nursing Council of Nigeria to practise as Registered Nurses.
Graduates can also pursue their postgraduate and Ph.D in area of specialty such as Medical- Surgical nursing, Nursing Education, Nursing admin, Community health Nursing, Mental health nursing e.t.c. or they proceed for post basic diploma program in any specialty area such as: Orthopaedic nursing, Accident and Emergency, peri-operative, Oncology, Nephrology, Psychiatric, Anaestheric nursing, Midwifery.
